Multi
Protocol Label Switching (MPLS)
In an MPLS network, incoming packets are assigned a "label"
by a "label edge router (LER)". Packets are
forwarded along a "label switch path (LSP)"
where each "label switch router (LSR)" makes
forwarding decisions based solely on the contents of the
label. At each hop, the LSR strips off the existing label
and applies a new label which tells the next hop how to
forward the packet.

Voice
Over Internet Protocol (VolP)
Internet Voice or Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is
a technology that allows you to make telephone calls using
a broadband internet connection instead of a regular (or
analog) phone line. Some services using VoIP may only allow
you to call other people using the same service, but others
may allow you to call anyone who has a telephone - including
local, long distance, mobile, and international numbers.
Also, while some services only work over your computer or
a special VoIP phone, other services allow you to use a
traditional phone through an adapter.
